We dislike marking your own form to order. Cannot figure out how to fill out for multiple people in our group. We just want to order and get our food.
Well, we were still hoping to enjoy our ramen. We were so disappointed. Ramen broth is very water down from before. For 2 bowls of ramen and sharing one side of Sesame chicken as lunch combo - total bill was $38 with 18% tip. Not good food for $20 lunch. Nor coming back since there are better ones around. -

They took away the small bowl!!!!!! And upped the price on the large... I cannot finish a large and to take this to go is no option, the broth turns yucky the next day! I wanted the small tonight!
Still great ramen, don't get me wrong! -

I've been here a couple times in the past and my experiences weren't the best. Extremely long lines, pricey, not hot, etc. but I think they've gotten better recently. I've always enjoyed their broth though. I think they recently changed the names of items on their menu. I ordered a Kuro Ramen I think... I forgot the name but looking at Yelp photos of their menu, it is the same thing as the Black Ramen.
We came on a Friday night around 5:30pm expecting a huge line but we were seated immediately and there were plenty of tables open even after we left. Maybe they get crowded later into the evening? Or is the hype of Kopan no longer? Idk lol. But coming back after a while made a better impression then before. I remember their older menu you would have to add-on toppings for extra $ like the egg. Lol egg is most important part of ramen. But this time it came with most of the regular toppings other places include. But this was represented in the cost which is one of the big things why I don't think I'll frequent as often. The add-ons seems to make the bowl pricier.
As for the actual bowl of ramen, we were all satisfied with what we ordered. Lots of noods, about 3 pieces of chashu, corn, bean sprouts, everything else lol. As mentioned before, I love their creamy broth. It's probably my favorite. It also came out pretty hot as compared to my experience before which is a plus!
Service was good. Seated immediately and brought out waters for the whole table.
Though I won't come too often since it is more pricey compared to other places that do ramen justice too. Don't forget to check-in for a free soda! -

I haven't been to Kopan Ramen in some time now and remember why its not my go-to spot for Ramen....
We went here because it opens late and has a variety of other food to choose from but if you are a Ramen spot, you should have GOOD Ramen. I ordered the Kopan Black ramen with side of seared Chashu on the side. The ramen lacked flavor for me. It doesn't compare to the more well known ramen places across OC and LA.
The restaurant is nice and has other options like sushi rolls and other small plates that make up for the Ramen bowl not being up to par. The service here is also very friendly and quick. I do like this place for the other dishes they serve and will come back but probably for the ramen.
